Bob Revolution SE is one of the BEST jogging strollers on today’s market. I absolutely love it! It is full of great features like a huge canopy, roomy padded seat, and easy fold.
It has plenty of storage including a large basket, two mesh pockets inside of the seat, and a large pocket in the back of the seat.
The 16″ air-filled tires and state-of-the-art adjustable suspension system provide an exceptionally SMOOTH ride.
It is very easy to navigate and will go through any uneven surface. The swivel front wheel can be locked straight for jogging or unlocked for walking in a park.
It’s designed for children from 3 months up to 70 lbs! With this weight limit, it will last you for a very LONG time! If you want to use this stroller from birth, all you need is a car seat adapter that can be purchased separately. The Revolution SE weighs 25 lbs which is a pretty average weight for a jogger.
After Sophia turned 8.5 months (since you have to wait till your baby is 8 months for jogging ), I took her for my first jog this year. Aside from being out of breath in 5 minutes, it was a VERY smooth ride and I could literally push it with one finger! I also took this stroller to the mall.
Although my mall experience didn’t last for too long (only 1 hour because Sophia was getting cranky), I found it very maneuverable in tight spaces, but of course, it is not that great for shopping.
Revolution SE is very wide (25.5″) and like most jogging strollers is very long (51.5″). At Macy’s in the shoe area, I had trouble fitting in between narrow shoe displays.
You will need to get a lighter smaller stroller for trips to the doctor, grocery stores, or shopping mall. This stroller is equipped with a lot of safety features like a 5-point harness, run-away strap, and parking brake.
OVERALL
I gave it 5 out of 5 stars because I really like the huge canopy, roomy seat, amazing suspension system, and large basket. It’s really above all the other joggers. I wish it had an automatic lock and adjustable handlebar. The one-hand fold also would be nice. You can get this model for around $549.

Features
CANOPY
This was important! Sophia is so fussy about the sun getting into her eyes, that a large canopy was the first thing I looked at when picking a stroller. It has 5 positions and goes down very far providing a 125° range of coverage.
During my stroller search, for some reason, it was hard to find information about canopies. All I wanted to know was how far down it went and how much shielding my baby got.
The canopy has a large peekaboo window. Love to watch my baby :) The closure unfortunately attaches with a noisy Velcro.
HANDLEBAR
It has a single non-adjustable handlebar located 40″ from the ground. There is a wrist strap that is attached to the padded handlebar for extra security in case the stroller runs away from you during jogging.
SEAT
The seat is 14.5″ wide and 23″ high from the bottom of the seat to the top of the canopy. It has an ultra-padded adjustable reclining seat that goes from a vertical position to a nearly flat (tilts to 70 degrees).
All you need to do is to adjust two straps on both sides. The material is very durable and is easy to wash. Note: it is NOT machine washable and shouldn’t be washed with DETERGENT. But, you can use a regular sponge with water and some mild soap.
If you look at the image of the seat, you will see two mesh pockets inside of the seat. They can be used for storing toys, snacks, or a sippy cup for your little one.
More storage! I use this storage for all of MY crap I have to take with me like cell phone, valet, sunglasses, keys, and coupons (if I am going shopping).
HARNESS
It has a 5-point adjustable harness (like most strollers) with a center release button in the middle. The padding on the straps is very thick and soft. Love it.
BASKET
It was not my must-have item, but it’s always nice to have more storage. I was prepared to deal with a small hard-to-access basket that a lot of good strollers have.
Therefore, I consider it a bonus! It has plenty of room for all the baby stuff I have to carry with me every time we step out of the house.
WHEELS
It rolls on three air-filled tires with 12″ wheels in the front and 16″ wheels in the back. The wheels are made out of high-impact polymer material.
Large wheels mean greater distance between you and the stroller making it more comfortable for taller parents like me who have long legs and need extra space. :)
Since these tires are air-filled, you CAN get a flat. I know it is a pain in the behind, but it is easy to fix. All you need to do is replace the inner tube. If you add some air every 6 months, your stroller will ride better and will be easier to push.
It features a swivel wheel that locks. This is a very important feature. The wheel has to be locked if you want to jog. For shopping or walking in a park, you need maneuverability that is provided by a swiveling front wheel.
By simply twisting a knob, you can lock or unlock the front wheel. When locked straight, the front wheel is very sturdy and doesn’t shake like in a lot of other strollers.
It is a versatile, multi-surface stroller that will ride through sand, snow, gravel, broken sidewalks, etc. The adjustable suspension system makes that ride very smooth. I found it very easy to push and steer. Exceptionally SMOOTH ride.
BRAKE
The parking brake is located between the rear wheels and will lock both of the wheels in place. It’s not flip-flip friendly, so prepare to get some shoe scratches.
FOLD
It’s a two-step process that requires both hands, but it is easy to fold and unfold. There is NO automatic lock. After folding, you need to use a clip to lock the stroller in place. It also does not stand on its own once folded.
The folded dimensions are 39″L x 25.5″W x 16″H. It is not a compact stroller at all. If you have trouble fitting it into the trunk, you can take the rear wheels off.
The MAIN thing – my baby Sophia liked it! She felt very comfy and fell asleep on our first trip to the park. :)
Cons
This stroller is above all other jogging strollers, and there is not much to complain about, but here are a few things to consider:
– No one-hand fold. Although it is easy to fold it, you still have to bend down and use both hands. Very often I only have one free hand.
– No adjustable handlebar. This should be a very easy addition. I don’t know why the designers didn’t think about people who are much shorter or taller.
-No Automatic lock to keep the stroller folded. It has a clip that is attached to the handlebar.
-Bulky. Most of the jogging strollers are bulky because of the wide frame and large wheels. BOB also has also very large canopy and padded seat adding to the bulkiness. It is 39″ long and 16″ high when folded. The only thing you can do to make it smaller is to remove the wheels.

Bob Revolution SE vs CE
You probably know that there is also a Bob Revolution CE model. Both strollers are almost identical except for the wheels and the weight (bc of the wheels).
Bob Revolution CE (City Editions) is great for urban or suburban areas with crowded sidewalks and tight spaces. You can take it for a light jog, but it’s designed more for power walking. Bob Revolution SE (Sport Editions) is made for power jogging/running.
- Wheels. SE has 16″ x 1.75″ rear tires and high-impact polymer wheels. CE has 12.5″ x 1.75″ rear tires and light aluminum wheels.
- Weight. Because CE has smaller tires, it is not as bulky and weighs 2 lbs less, only 23 lbs, while SE weighs 25 lbs.
- Price. CE also costs $325 while the lowest price I found for SE was $319.
- Colors. While SE comes in four colors (black, plum, orange, and navy), CE has only two (black and plum).
- Double version. SE also has a Duallie version and CE doesn’t.
That’s all the difference!
Warranty
BOB has a 5-year limited warranty on the frame and 1 year on small parts and fabric.
Available colors
It comes in 4 colors: navy, black, orange, and plum. My favorite of course is ORANGE! :) Keep in mind, that the price can vary depending on the color.
Accessories
Bob Revolution SE Stroller has a number of accessories that you will need to purchase separately. I have to admit, if you buy all of them, it will add up quickly. I wish some of the accessories were included.
– Car seat adapter. You can use it with Britax B-Safe, Chaperone, Graco: SnugRide, SnugRide 30, SnugRide 32, and SnugRide 35. Peg Perego : Primo Viaggio SIP , Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30. Chicco : KeyFit , KeyFit 30. It will easily snap into the same spot used for the snack tray. Retails for around $46.
-Snack tray. This is a must-have. I am upset that it doesn’t come with the stroller. How can you have a stroller without a snack tray? This snack tray can be used with Ironman, SE, CE, Strollers Strides, and Sport Utility models. The motion model has a different tray. It retails for $24.
-Adult console. This stroller doesn’t come with an adult console and you have to buy it separately. It has a pocket in the middle and 2 bottle holders on each side. It is made out of HIGH-quality durable material. If you want to have a place for your water bottle during a jog, you should buy it. The price ranges from $25 -$43.
-Weather shield. I used it during rainy days when Sophia was sleeping on the deck. She always sleeps better outside and I didn’t want to keep her indoors because of the drizzle. It is very easy to install and has a water-resistant large window so you can see your baby. It works only with Revolution SE, CE, and Stroller Strides. Ironman, SUS, and Motion models have a different shield. It can be bought for about $40.
– Fleece seat liner. It’s called BOB Warm Fuzzy. This padded fleece seat liner is very easy to insert and will keep your little one warm and comfy. It is a must-have during cold winter months. Only $35 on Amazon.
-Sun shield. This elastic shield will protect your child from the sun, wind, and flying insects. I like to cover the stroller with this shield when my baby is sleeping because it also provides additional shade. It costs about $55.
-Travel bag. If you travel a lot, especially by plane, and want to take the stroller with you, get this travel bag. It will fit any BOB single stroller. It is made out of premium materials and has a convenient handle and roller wheels for easy maneuverability. This bag doesn’t come cheap, but if you do travel a lot, I think it is worth it. It is sold for around $79.
Where to buy it
You can get the BOB Revolution SE in one of the four beautiful colors for around $549.
