Hey there, I’m Katrin. I’m a proud mom to the beautiful baby girl Sophia. When I found out I was expecting, I was knee-deep in the chaos of moving into a new house and tackling renovations. Stroller shopping was the last thing on my mind; my main focus was getting the house and the baby’s room ready before her arrival.
Our home improvement journey dragged on for a whopping 9 months – we could’ve been contenders on that “renovations disaster” TV show, but somehow, we made it through unscathed (thank goodness for that!). Everything was finally wrapped up just a week before I was due to give birth. No pressure!
After bringing Sophia into our cozy home, I took some time to recover, and when September rolled around, the weather was just perfect for taking her out for a stroll. It was then that I realized I’d never gotten around to purchasing a stroller of my own.
So, I borrowed one from a friend – an old, worn-out “Everflow” that had seen two moms before me. After giving it a good scrub, I set off for a walk with my baby. Let me tell you, it was far from ideal. The wheels squeaked, maneuvering it was a nightmare, and it was about as bulky and heavy as they come.
I knew I had to get a proper stroller, pronto. So, I dove headfirst into research mode. I spent more time scouring the internet for stroller options than I did when buying my car – it took me a mere two days to pick out a car, but even after a week of stroller madness, I couldn’t make up my mind.
All my friends had older kids (4-5 years old) and their strollers were outdated models no longer available in stores. I even scoured eBay for these old models, but the used options weren’t sitting well with me.
First, I visited all the stores in my vicinity to take a close look at the strollers. Then, I dug deep into online reviews, watched YouTube videos, and compared prices. When I was done, I had a hefty notepad filled with notes on each stroller.
To simplify my decision, I decided to buy my top picks and try them out at home. I must admit, some of the high-end strollers seemed overrated and overpriced in my book. My husband thought I’d lost it when he walked into our living room and found five strollers staring back at him.
Commitment issues? Not me – it’s all about finding the very BEST for my little one. After ten more trips to the store, I finally settled on the Bumbleride Indie for jogging and the Peg-perego for running errands.
What surprised me throughout my research was the scarcity of sites offering reviews. BabyGyzmo videos were a big help, but their website didn’t quite win me over. I couldn’t find a single site that had comprehensive stroller reviews from real parents. Most of the review sites seemed like marketing ploys to push products.
That’s when the idea hit me – why not create my own stroller review site? After all that legwork, I didn’t want my notes to go to waste. I wanted to share my newfound knowledge with other parents who have a hard time picking the right stroller. Let the stroller madness begin!

P.S. I know how hard it is to decide on the stroller, so don’t hesitate to drop me a note if you have a comment or a question. I am always happy to help.
