Muv Reis 2016 Stroller Review

muv-reis-stroller16

The Muv is a new European company that has recently entered the US market. They’ve presented two new strollers called Reis and Gaan.

Since I saw them at the ABC Kids Expo 2015 for the first time, I can only give you a brief overview.

Both strollers are very similar but have different number of wheels. Reis rolls on four wheels while Gaan has only three.

Reis is a full-featured stroller with a reversible seat that comes with a bassinet. It reminds me a lot of the UPPAbaby Vista model which also comes with a matching bassinet and has very similar clean lines and modern design.

The Reis model rolls on four large EVA foam-filled wheels that together with all-wheel suspension will tackle any terrain.

The parents will love the huge canopy with 6 mesh windows, adjustable telescoping handlebar, huge basket with built-in cooler, and one-hand deep recline suitable for a newborn. It weighs 26 lbs with the seat attached.

The fold is very easy and compact. There is an automatic lock and you can fold it with the seat attached. It comes with a bumper bar, cup holder, and bassinet.

It comes in five colors with a choice of two frame colors. It’s available right now and retails for around $699.

Features

CANOPY

The three-panel canopy is really huge and goes all the way down to the bumper bar.

It has two large mesh peekaboo windows on top of the canopy plus four small mesh windows on the sides. This canopy is really great. It provides plenty of shade while also providing great air flow.

SEAT

The reversible seat is very roomy. It is 13.5″ wide with 19″ seat back and a measurement of 25″ from the back of the seat to the top of the canopy.

It has one-hand lever recline that goes to almost flat position suitable for a newborn. The seat can accommodate a child from birth and up to 50 lbs.

WHEELS

It rolls on four EVA foam filled wheels with 12″ wheels in the back and 9″ wheels in the front. These wheels will be able to handle any terrain.

Now, they are not air-filled, but are very large so you should be able to tackle anything. The front wheels are swivel, but can be locked straight. It also has an all-wheel suspension.

BASKET

This basket is not only huge but also very easy to access. It has a large cooler compartment that you can keep your beer in. Just kidding…

Only milk in a sippy cup or fruits allowed. LOL. My husband would totally put his beer in it. Lov it!

  1. Do you know how to adjust the harness? We looked at this, the uppababy and the city stroller but couldn’t figure out how to adjust the harness. Thanks

  2. My daughter in law and I spent the morning looking at strollers. We looked at the City Select, the Uppababy and, newest to the collection, was the muv reis. We were very impressed with it; the way it handled, the options it offered; and the price. Our only concern is if it can be converted into a two-child stroller down the road? Once we have that information, I think we can make a sound choice. As a single child stroller, it was a very competitive choice to the Uppababy; actually lighter and easier to push. I think it is a welcome addition to the stroller market.

  3. Hi Rosalind. The Muv can NOT be converted into a double like Vista. If you thinking about second child right away, I would get Vista and probably a lightweight cheap umbrella stroller for quick ins and outs.

  4. Hi Katrin, thank you for your lovely, in depth reviews. I know you’ve said in the past you dislike the Stokke Xplory for a multitude of reasons but I know it’s one of the only strollers on the market that has the seat as high up as possible. I read some promotional materials stating the Muv Gaan and Reis have the seats high enough to work as high chairs and I was wondering if you had any idea how their seat height compares to that of the Xplory?

    Thanks so much!

  5. Hi Mariah. I am not sure which one is higher, but I would also recommend looking at Cybex Priam, Stokke Scoot V2 or Orbit Baby G3. Xplory is stylish but so unpractical. I think the seat height is the only thing that is going for it. LOL. Once your child is a toddler, he will want to get into the stroller himself so the chair height doesn’t play in your favor at that point.

  6. Hi Katrin! I looking for good stroller but can choose witch one :(! Can you tell me please is this is a new stroller? Because i cant find a strore where i can try it and touch . Also is the seat is very high? I dont even find any reviews for it, may be because is just new :-/

  7. Hi Katrin, we are not too sure what to choose. Was looking at Quinny buzz straight before and when look around further, found Chicco bravo and Muv Reis also good. Noticed the rear wheel for Muv Reis is slightly bigger? Is that removable? Any particular model you would recommend?

  8. Hi Katrin,
I have been reading so many stroller reviews my head is spinning. Based on the features I am looking for, this stroller appears to be ideal. I have also tried to google it to get some more pros and cons but am finding nothing. Most likely because it is so new to the market. I also have been looking at the NUNA Tavo which appears great but does not have reverse seat as well as the Cybex Iris M. I did not have one with my first child but that was 10 years ago and honestly don’t remember if it was that important. I need something from birth to toddler, that does not weigh a ton and that does not need adapters for the car seat. Please let me know your thoughts.

  9. I bought a MUV reis for my baby and i love it!!
Its amazing stroller, very comfortable and nice
    I recommend it

  10. Hello,

Does anyone know how to adjust the harness on the MUV infant Car seat and stroller? harness seems to be very short it’s frustrating me I feel like taking it back and shop for something else.
    Thanks

  11. Hello Mindy,

Did you find out how to adjest the harness on the stroller? I’m having the same issue with the car seat.
