Mamas & Papas Sola is a luxury stroller designed for an urban lifestyle. It’s perfect for on-the-go parents who like to run errands and go to the park or mall.
The maneuverability on Sola is great as long as you stay on flat surfaces since it is not really made for rough terrain.
The roomy seat has a one-hand recline and is reversible, so your child can face you or the world. This stylish model has also features like an adjustable leg rest, all-wheel suspension, adjustable handlebar, and flip-flop-friendly parking brake.
The Sola can be used from birth and up to 50 lbs. You can also convert it into a travel system, by replacing the seat with a car seat or turn it into a pram by purchasing a carrycot/bassinet accessory.
It weighs 22 lbs and comes in 7 beautiful colors with cool prints inside of the canopy. Very sleek and modern-looking stroller!
OVERALL
I gave this stroller 4.5 out of 5 stars because while I really liked the seat, the canopy could use some improvement. Also, the basket is large, but not as deep as in other strollers. I personally like to go grocery shopping (often resulting in a full basket of stuff
I didn’t even know I needed it. LOL. Story of my life). The lowest price I was able to find for the Sola model was $399. There is NO cup holder, but it does come with a rain cover and a bumper bar.

Features
CANOPY
The canopy is a good size, but it doesn’t go down far enough. It is also connected to the back of the seat, so it doesn’t convert into a ‘floating canopy’ that I like.
There is a large peekaboo window with a magnetic closure (no noisy Velcro, thank you very much!). The inside of the canopy has a cool print making it stand out.
HANDLEBAR
The foam-covered handlebar goes from 35″ up to 39″ from the ground. I wish it would go up a little more to 42″ like on many other strollers.
SEAT
This is a great seat! The seat is 13″ wide and 24″ from the bottom of the seat to the top of the canopy. The seat is reversible so your child can look at you or the world. It has a one-hand lever recline (no straps. Yey!).
The back of the seat goes to a flat position making it suitable for a newborn. I really like the option of reclining just the back of the seat, instead of the whole seat (many luxury strollers that have a reversible seat option, have one-molded-piece seat).
You can create a bed-like environment for your child by lifting up the legrest and reclining the seat. BTW, the seat can be reclined the same way when reversed. It can be used from birth and up to 50 lbs.
HARNESS
It has a padded adjustable 5-point harness with a tricky buckle. While it is very easy to unlock, locking it is like a puzzle. I wish it was the other way around.
BUMPER BAR
The padded bumper bar is removable and swing-away for easier ins and outs.
FOOTREST
The footrest is adjustable which is great for little babies.
BASKET
The basket will fit your large diaper bag, but not more than that. The sides of the basket are not as high as on other strollers, but it’s easily accessible even with the seat reversed. The basket is the only storage on the Sola model.
WHEELS
The Sola model rolls on four hard rubber wheels with 9″ wheels in the back and 7″ wheels in the front. The front wheels are swivel but can be locked straight for rougher terrain like grass or mulch. Since it’s not an all-terrain stroller, it does best on a flat surface.
The all-wheel suspension helps a little with the bumps, but it is not the same suspension you get on the jogging strollers.
BRAKE
There is a single-foot brake between the rear wheels that will lock both wheels in place. It is flip-flop friendly, so your beautiful shows will be safe.
FOLD
You will need both hands to fold it. It is a compact stroller that has folding dimensions of 11″H x 21″W x 33″L. It should fit in any trunk with no problems. There is an automatic lock and it can also stand on its own once folded.
Cons
-Canopy. I am not crazy about the canopy. Although it is a good size, the coverage is not full. I wish it would down a little more and had a ‘floating’ option.
-Lock of storage. There is no storage other than a basket. It would be nice to have a pocket in the back of the seat for small items like keys and cell phone.
-Basket size. The basket could be larger and deeper. I don’t think you would be able to fit anything else aside from a large diaper bag.
