The Summer Infant 3D Flip Convenience is a lightweight umbrella stroller with a reversible seat.
This model is very similar to the popular Baby Jogger Vue which was the first reversible-seat umbrella stroller.
I still can’t believe Summer Infant copied Vue! I thought they would put a patent on the seat design.
On the bright side, now parents can get this cool model with a reversible seat and many other great features for MUCH less!
The 3D Flip Convenience stroller retails for only $129 vs Vue costs $200. Just like on Vue, you don’t need to take the seat out to reverse it. All you need to do is bring the seat back forward and reverse the canopy. Easy!
The seat has a one-hand lever recline with 3 recline positions in both modes. The recline is pretty deep but doesn’t have a flat position so you can’t use it for a newborn. The seat can accommodate a child from 6 months and up to 50 lbs.
The large reversible canopy with a peekaboo window will provide your child with full sun protection. The seat is very roomy with plenty of headroom for a taller toddler.
Tall parents will be happy to see tall handlebars positioned 42″ from the ground. Although the storage basket underneath the seat is not big, the 3D Flip features two side pockets on the canopy and comes with a cup holder.
This model weighs only 14 lbs making it great for traveling and running errands. The compact fold and carry strap make it very easy to transfer in and out of the car. I also think that the combination of black and light gray material with a darker gray logo and butterflies looks very stylish and modern.
OVERALL
I gave this buggy 5 out of 5 stars because I think you are getting a great deal for around $129. I don’t think any other company can give you a better stroller for this price.
That being said, the small things like the clicking noise of the canopy or small basket are not big drawbacks. And for this price, you are not going to be too upset if it gets damaged on your trip.

Features
CANOPY
It has a large reversible canopy that will provide your child with plenty of sun protection in both modes. It might not look that big, but you can bring it forward a lot.
The canopy also has a large peekaboo window with Velcro closure. The back of the canopy covers the space between the canopy and the seat without any Velcro attachments.
Overall the canopy is great, but there is a loud clicking noise when you adjust the canopy that I didn’t like.
HANDLEBARS
The ergonomically positioned handlebars are not adjustable but are very tall. They are located 42″ from the ground which is a great height for taller and shorter parents.
I really like the heat-resistant contoured foam cover on the handles which feels great when you hold them.
STORAGE
There are two small pockets on both sides of the seat where you can store small essentials.
SEAT
The seat is very roomy with plenty of headroom for a tall toddler. It is 12.5″ wide with an 18″ seat back and a measurement of 28″ from the bottom of the seat to the top of the canopy.
While the seat back is not very tall (most strollers have it at 20″), the height of the canopy is super high since most strollers have it at 24″.
The seat has a deep 3-position one-hand lever recline in both modes but doesn’t go to a flat position. It can accommodate a child from 6 months and up to 50 lbs.
I like that it’s a one-hand lever recline instead of a strap system. It comes with an infant head support for smaller babies.
HARNESS
It has an adjustable padded 5-point harness with a center release buckle. The crotch pad has a closure that completely hides the buckle from a curious toddler. It also protects the gentle skin of a baby from scratches.
BASKET
The basket is a typical small umbrella basket that is hard to access. Thankfully there is a small opening underneath the rear seat that you can access if your child is facing the world. The basket can fit only a few small essentials like wallet, sunglasses, and keys.
BRAKE
There are two parking brakes, one on each rear wheel. They are not flip-flop-friendly.
WHEELS
It rolls on four hard rubber double 6″ wheels. This is an average size of wheels for an umbrella stroller. The front wheels are swivel but can be locked straight for rougher terrain. This stroller is designed for even surfaces.
The front wheel suspension helps to absorb some of the bumps making the ride a little smoother.
FOLD
It has a typical umbrella fold that requires both hands. It has an automatic lock and a carry strap for easy transportation. Since it weighs 14 lbs, it’s not exactly a shoulder type of stroller, but you can use a carry strap for short distances. The folded dimensions are 42″L x 12″W x 13″H.
CUP HOLDER
It comes with an included cup holder.
Cons
-Canopy makes noise. When you adjust the canopy it makes a loud clicking noise which is not a big deal but is very annoying.
